We are working to improve how we deliver life-changing medicines directly into the human brain.
We believe that through innovation and collaboration, our research can lead to more effective therapies and improve the lives of those affected by neurological and neurodegenerative diseases.
Our aim is to lead the development of advanced therapies for neurological disease through a combination of world-leading expertise and facilities in neurological Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs), clinical trial delivery and design and ATMP delivery science, underpinned by patient-centred methods.
We have identified three key areas that can advance this science and ultimately improve the lives of people living with neurodegenerative conditions like Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease.
We are entering an exciting era in which disease-modifying treatments are becoming a reality for brain diseases that are currently untreatable, such as Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s Diseases (HD), or limited to symptomatic approaches, such as in Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and many forms of epilepsy.
Many of the most promising emerging treatments use Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs), which involves delivering genes, Ribonucleic acid (RNA), or cells directly into the brain.
We run events, workshops and activities throughout the year for researchers, patient and members of the public
