{"id":3770,"date":"2017-07-03T11:03:24","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T10:03:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brain.wales\/2017\/07\/ser-syn-codi-mewn-mri-microstrwythurol\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T14:12:41","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T13:12:41","slug":"ser-syn-codi-mewn-mri-microstrwythurol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brain.wales\/cy\/2017\/07\/ser-syn-codi-mewn-mri-microstrwythurol\/","title":{"rendered":"S\u00ear sy&#8217;n codi mewn MRI microstrwythurol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mae tri seren dalentog sy&#8217;n dod i&#8217;r amlwg ym maes MRI microstrwythurol wedi sicrhau cymrodoriaethau uchel eu bri i astudio yng Nghanolfan Ymchwil Delweddu&#8217;r Ymennydd Prifysgol Caerdydd (CUBRIC).<\/p>\n<p>Bydd Maxime Chamberland (Prifysgol Sherbrooke, Quebec), Erika Raven (Prifysgol Georgetown, Washington DC), a Chantal Tax (Canolfan Feddygol Utrecht, Utrecht) yn dechrau eu cymrodoriaethau eleni yn y ganolfan newydd ei hadeiladu, o&#8217;r radd flaenaf.<\/p>\n<p>Dywedodd yr Athro Derek Jones, mentor i&#8217;r tri Chymrawd:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cRwyf wrth fy modd \u00e2 llwyddiant a safon uchel y tri Chymrawd hyn, ac yn benodol, eu bod wedi dewis dal eu Cymrodoriaethau yn CUBRIC yn y cam pwysig hwn yn eu datblygiad gyrfa&#8230;\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cRwy\u2019n gyffrous am y cynigion ymchwil gan bob un o\u2019r Cymrodyr, ac yn edrych ymlaen yn fawr at weithio gyda phob un ohonyn nhw yma mewn CUBRIC sy\u2019n gynyddol ryngwladol!\u201d  <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/people\/view\/61030-jones-derek\"><cite class=\"quote-source\">Yr Athro Derek Jones, Cyfarwyddwr CUBRIC<\/cite><\/a><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4>Arbenigedd blaenllaw yn y byd<\/h4>\n<p>Sicrhaodd Dr Chamberland Gymrodoriaeth gan Gyngor Peirianneg a Gwyddorau Ymchwil Gwyddorau Naturiol (NSERC) Canada i ddatblygu offer cyflym a rhyngweithiol ar gyfer archwilio ffibrau&#8217;r ymennydd a chysylltedd yr ymennydd, a chafodd ei osod yn gyntaf allan o&#8217;i rownd ymgeisio. Dywedodd: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFel gwyddonydd cyfrifiadurol, mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn datblygu dulliau arloesol a fydd yn y pen draw yn gwella canlyniad niwrolawdriniaeth. Er bod llawer o ganolfannau yn y byd, dewisais CUBRIC yn ofalus fel y sefydliad cynnal ar gyfer fy mhrosiect ymchwil arfaethedig&#8230;\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cO ystyried ei harbenigedd blaenllaw yn y byd, ynghyd ag offer blaenllaw yn y byd, CUBRIC yw&#8217;r amgylchedd perffaith i ddatblygu fy ngyrfa a gweithio gyda&#8217;r data niwroddelweddu gorau posibl i archwilio terfynau&#8217;r hyn a allai fod yn bosibl yn yr ymennydd dynol.\u201d<br \/>\n<em><cite class=\"quote-source\">Dr Maxime Chamberland, Prifysgol Sherbrooke, Quebec<\/cite><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4>Sganiwr MRI Connectom cyntaf yn Ewrop<\/h4>\n<p>Sicrhaodd Dr Tax Gymrodoriaeth Rubicon gan Sefydliad Ymchwil Wyddonol yr Iseldiroedd (NWO), a ddaeth yn gyntaf yn ei rownd unwaith eto, am ei chynnig i fanteisio ar raddiannau cryf iawn mewn MRI aml-fodal ar gyfer asesu microstrwythur mater gwyn. Dywedodd: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMae gen i angerdd dros ddatod strwythur yr ymennydd. Mae&#8217;r offer unigryw a&#8217;r amgylchedd academaidd amlddisgyblaethol yn CUBRIC yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer adeiladu ar y profiad a&#8217;r offer o fy PhD mewn MRI trylediad&#8230;\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMae CUBRIC hefyd yn gartref i\u2019r sganiwr MRI Connectom cyntaf yn Ewrop. Wedi fy ysgogi gan botensial y system hon, arbenigedd fy ngoruchwyliwr yr Athro Derek Jones, a\u2019r tebygrwydd rhwng fy niddordebau a\u2019r llinellau ymchwil yn CUBRIC, dewisais CUBRIC i ddal fy Nghymrodoriaeth.\u201d <em><cite class=\"quote-source\">Dr Chantal Tax, Canolfan Feddygol Utrecht, Utrecht<\/cite><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4>Cydweithrediad ymchwil UDA-DU<\/h4>\n<p>Enillodd Dr Raven yr unig Gymrodoriaeth ryngwladol Marshall Sherfield o&#8217;r Unol Daleithiau i edrych ar gynnwys haearn meinwe&#8217;r ymennydd, a sut mae hyn yn ymwneud \u00e2 gwybyddiaeth.
